The Top Ten Albums of the 21st Century: A Knock ’em Down, Drag ’em Out Verbal Slugfest (Chapter 5)

Area:
Presenter:
Nick Baxter-Moore (Brock University)
Presentation type:
Paper
Abstract:

As part of this panel I will argue that one album in Craveonline’s “Top Ten Albums of the 21st Century … So Far” (http://www.craveonline.ca/music/8930...) is overrated and should be replaced by another album. I will spend twelve minutes on my rejection and selection, and three minutes attacking the decision(s) of one of my fellow panelists. To ensure a lively debate and to avoid duplication in album selection or panelist under attack, the three panelists (Thomas Kitts, Lawrence Pitilli, and I) will coordinate our selections prior to the conference. The panel will be chaired by Lawrence Pitilli. None of the individual papers will have a title.

Scheduled on:
Thursday, November 3, 11:00 am to 12:15 pm
