Crash Course Sponsor – $500
* Our Pop Culture Crash Course is a well-attended feature event scheduled during the noon hour the Saturday of the conference.
Ralph Donald Award – $250
* The Ralph Donald Award recognizes an outstanding paper and presentation delivered at MAPACA’s annual conference. This award is named in honor of Ralph Donald, who joined the MAPACA board in 1990 and served as the founding editor of The Almanack, MAPACA’s first journal.
Walden Prize for Graduate and Undergraduate Papers – $250
* The Walden Prize for Graduate and Undergraduate Papers is awarded annually to outstanding emerging scholars in popular culture studies. Walden Prize awardees receive recognition and complimentary registration for the upcoming conference and will have their papers published in MAPACA’s journal, Response. The Walden Prize is named in honor of Daniel Walden, Professor Emeritus of American Studies, English, and Comparative Literature at Penn State University.
Loretta Lorance Volunteer Recognition Award – $250
* The Loretta Lorance Volunteer Recognition Award is granted to a member who has contributed to the growth and success of MAPACA through service and leadership.
