Joseph Henry Hancock II

Joseph H. Hancock, II is Associate Professor in Fashion Design & Merchandising at Drexel University, Philadelphia. He has a twenty-year retailing background, having worked for The Gap Corporation, The Limited, Inc., the Target Corporation, and continues to do publishing and merchandising consulting work on an international level. His research addresses aspirational fashion branding and experiential retailing, as well as men’s fashion and lifestyles. Among his numerous publications are his books Brand/Story: Ralph, Vera, Johnny, Billy and Other Adventures in Fashion Branding (Fairchild, 2009) and Fashion: A Global Perspective (Fairchild, 2014). He is the editor of the forthcoming Journal of Fashion, Style, and Popular Culture (2013) and is the president of the Popular Culture Association/ American Culture Association (2014-2016).
