Traveling to Atlantic City

Traveling to Atlantic City by is easy from Philadelphia, New York, and the Washington DC/Baltimore area. Longer distance travel should be through Philadelphia. If flying into Philadelphia, it is recommended that attendees rent a car or share a ride with fellow attendees (using the Ride and Room Share Forum). Rail and bus options are available as well.

The Tropicana Casino & Resort is located at 2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ 08401.

By Car

From Philadelphia, take the Walt Whitman bridge from Route 95 (just north of the airport, south of center city) to the Atlantic City Expressway via Route 42.

From New York, take the New Jersey Turnpike to south on the Garden State Parkway. Take Exit 38 for east on the Atlantic City Expressway.

From Baltimore/Washington DC, take Route 95 north across the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Take Route 40 east to the Atlantic City Expressway.

From the Atlantic City Expressway, take Exit 2 (Downbeach Casinos) and follow signs to Tropicana Casino and Resort, continuing straight on Albany Avenue. Turn left onto Atlantic Avenue and then right at South Brighton Avenue. If you are staying at the hotel, valet parking is $10.00.

The Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is located about a 60-minute drive from Atlantic City. If renting a car, follow the above directions for driving from Philadelphia

Unfortunately, the Atlantic City Airport is seasonal and Spirit Airlines will not be offering flights during the conference.

From Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, board the New Jersey Transit train on the Atlantic City Rail Live. The train runs about twelves times each day, takes about an hour and a half, and costs about $10.00. Atlantic City is the final stop. There is a free shuttle for connections to all Atlantic City casinos.

Unfortunately, there is no direct train from New York City.

By Bus

New Jersey Transit offers bus service from Philadelphia via the 551, and from New York City via the 319. Greyhound and other options exist as well.

If traveling by bus, please be sure to select “Tropicana Casino, Atlantic City” as your destination if your provider offers it—this will take you directly to the conference site, as opposed to the main bus station in Atlantic City.
